The only additional complication may be differing currencies between the buyer and seller. You can either send a banker’s cheque in your own currency or in the seller’s currency. Should I still sell? Yes of course! The only additional complication may be differing currencies between the buyer and seller. You can request payment in your own currency or accept a banker’s cheque in the seller’s currency. Fluctuations in exchange rates may also mean you do not get the amount you expected! Please see the Payment Advice help-section for more information. If the seller’s information was correct, the buyer should return the dress with a payment to cover the cost of the sellers postage. This helps us keep the site relevant and up to date for other buyers. Close Top |

SHIPPING ADVICE |

How should I pack the dress? There are many helpful suggestions on the internet. The best one we have seen is to ship the dress in a large flattened packing box. Wrap the dress carefully and slip into flattened box before sealing well. Should I get the dress insured? Yes, yes, definitely yes! Insurance may seem an unnecessary expense but it will seem cheap if the dress is lost in transit. Should I send it recorded delivery? Definitely Who should pay for return shipping in the event that the dress is unwanted by the buyer once received? Typically it should be the buyer who pays for all shipment costs. The only situation where this may not apply is where the seller has provided incorrect information on the condition of the dress. It is worth agreeing this point between both parties before sending. PAYMENT ADVICE |

Here are our suggested methods of payment Where buyer and seller are in the same country The buyer sends a banker’s cheque or postal order. It is possible to send a personal cheque but this is a more risky option for the seller, unless the buyer agrees for the cheque to be cashed before the dress is sent. The seller sends on the dress once the money has been received but does not cash the funds. Once the buyer has received the dress they contact the seller and lets them know whether they are happy to keep the dress. If the buyer is happy to keep the dress, the seller banks the cheque. If the buyer isn’t happy they return the dress. Once the dress is received by the seller they return the cheque to the buyer. Where buyer and seller are in different countries The buyer sends an international banker’s cheque (which they can get from their local bank) to the sender. Other options for payment If you are still uncomfortable sending goods or funds to people you don’t know, then it may be possible to use the seller’s teacher as an intermediary. This method is described on the Dance Again web-site, but basically the buyer sends the cheque to the seller’s teacher. The teacher releases the cheque to the seller on proof of shipping. Close Top |
