The tops have been designed by dress designer Paddy K, to be light and snug fitting so they do not add bulk while the sleeves protect the underarm area of the dress.
The fabric looks and feels as comfortable as cotton but is actually Nylon. The fabric wicks the moisture away from the body and dries quickly when exposed to air. The top cannot wick the moisture to the surface to dry until you take off your dress, protecting your dress while keeping you fresh and comfortable.
Since the fabric dries so much faster than cotton, you can cool off without getting a chill! This means you will not have to put the dress back on for the next dance over a damp garment.
This should be part of the standard kitbag of any serious Irish dancer.
