The new Hullachan Red collection is exciting dancers everywhere after a very successful showcase at the An Comisiun World's in London.
The collection includes a new Hullachan pump (the H3), a new boys reel and a new jig shoe.
The first one to launch will be the pump, the H3, which will be available for purchase from the start of June. We already have large back orders on these so if you want a pair we strongly recommend that you pre-order your pair. The launch will initially be restricted to the UK and Ireland to allow us to properly meet the demands of wholesalers but you can still order your pair online and we will post worldwide!
The boys reel and jig shoe will be next. These will be launched at the end of July. Again, these are available for pre-order on the website.
We are currently launching each in medium width but other widths will follow in the Autumn.
Each shoe in the new range has plenty of new features to protect and cushion your feet as well as making your feet look amazing!
Here are just some of the new features:
The Hullachan jig shoe and the boys reel shoe will be fitted with the Concorde Lite heels. The Concorde Lite heel is made from the same material as our standard Concorde heel but is so much lighter! We have sound tested the new heel and despite being lighter than our standard Concorde heel it actually generates a louder sound!
These heels are great if you are:
- a dancer who is technically very good but have a lighter build than other dancers in your age group. You can now generate the same sound with much less effort helping reduce any disadvantage you may have due to your size.
- a dancer who needs to get more height when jumping. Everytime you jump you are lifting the heels on your jig shoes, with Concorde Lite heels you have less pulling you back down to the ground!
- a dancer who gets tired making full use of a large stage during competitions or performances. Making sure you show the adjudicators that you understand the importance of filling a stage can be tiring, especially if you strugle with fitness levels or a smaller dancer. Now you can dance across even the biggest stage while maintaining your dancing technique.
We have fitted the Concorde Lite heels to the new boys reel shoe as well to create a much more balanced shoe than our current Capezio model. This will give all the above benefits as well as removing the chance of the heels tearing away from the upper due to their weight.
The Clever Insoles are in all the new Hullachan Red range.
These insoles are a mix of two materials - one layer has been designed to absorb shock and protect your joints, the other is a comfort layer so you feel your feet are cushioned and happy!
We have topped these off with a layer of red Camberel which is a wick away material to keep your feet cool and dry.
If you visited us at the World's in London you may have seen our leather display board, where we demonstrated how we use different leathers for different models and parts of the shoe It is very important to get the right leather for the right job!
For example, the leather in the new Hullachan boys reel shoe has been strengthed to make it more comfortable and also more durable. So reduced changes of heel tears due to mis-timed clicks!
The new Hullachan Boys Reel shoe has a perforated black suede sole rather than a unflexible rubber sole. This allows male dancers much greater control and contact with the floor, as well as allowing a much clean point when dancing.
*the sole of the boys reel shoe is completely black we have just make it white here to showcase the suede sole!
Breaking in a new pair of jig shoes can be a painful experience. The new Hullachan jig has a soft padded ankle. Just enough to protect your heels without digging into them and aggrevating your Achilles. The soles on the Hullachan are flexible and you will be able to get straight on your toes, even when new!
The new H3 pump has a new lacing system which is designed to offer you fantastic levels of arch support while giving an excellent arch profile as the leather of the pump is pulled tightly against your own arch. The new lacing system also means you don't have to tie the laces around your arch. Not only is this potentially damaging but it ruins the look of your arch to teachers and adjudicators. You can find out more about this by click on the picture of the pump below!
We will be adding some videos on the new range soon so stay tuned for those!
